Thank you for praying for us.  I wanted to update you on our travels and ministry.  Thank you for aiding us in our endeavors of getting out the Gospel and training individuals to be soul winners.  While in meetings we saw 597 people visit the churches where we preached, 186 saved and 25 people baptized.


On Sun., July 1 – In the morning I taught Sunday school and preached for the Faith for the Family Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS where Bro. Garry Edwards is the pastor.  On Sunday night, July 1 – Wed., July 4 I preached at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Sumrall, MS where Bro. Daniel Purvis is the pastor.  During this week Dr. and Mrs. Carl Hatch joined me as we preached the 2nd Annual Soul Winning Leadership Conference.  Many preachers attended the conference.  On Tuesday night we had an old fashion revival that broke out.  Tears filled the auditorium.  God’s children were having a meeting.  The invitation lasted for over one hour.  Dr. Hatch said that in the 53 years that he has been preaching that he has never seen anything like that.  There were 44 saved and nine baptized.


On Sun., July 8 – Fri., July 13 Jonathan and Joshua conducted a VBS at the Faith Baptist Church in Berne, IN where Dr. Travis Combest is the pastor.  There were 231 enrolled, 50 young people saved, and three young people baptized.


On Sun., July 8 – I preached at the Grace Independent Baptist Church in Ocean Springs, MS.  This is my home church.  While out soul winning I had the privilege of leading four people to the Lord.


On Sun., July 15 – I preached at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA.  While out soul winning I had the privilege of leading six people to the Lord.


On Sun., July 15 – Fri., July 20, Jonathan and Joshua conducted a VBS at the Hope Baptist Tabernacle in Mocksville, NC where Bro. Chris Cantrell is the pastor.  There were 72 enrolled and five saved.


On Sun., July 22 - Wed., July 25 I preached a Soul Winning Revival at the Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Terre Haute, IN where Dr. Thomas Manbeck is the pastor.  There were 50 people saved and 13 people baptized.


On Sun. morning, July 29, I preached at the Bellwood Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN where Dr. James Avaritt is the pastor.  On Sun. night I preached at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Columbia, TN where Dr. Dave Baker is the pastor.  There were 11 saved at these two churches.


On Sun., July 29 - Fri., Aug. 3 Jonathan and Joshua conducted a VBS at the Ambassador Baptist Church in Monroe, LA where Bro. Sonny McGuffee is the pastor.  There were 106 enrolled and 26 people saved.


On Tues., Aug. 7 – Wed., Aug. 8 I held an I.W.W.E. meeting at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Sumrall, MS where Bro. Daniel Purvis is the pastor.  This was a training meeting for those coming on board with I.W.W.E.


URGENT NEED AND THANKFUL PRAISE:

Recently, Mrs. Wells and I have had some physical setbacks.  I have had a battle with several Kidney Stones. The two trips to the hospital cost $7,840.50 (40% for paying cash by the deadline) = $4,504.30. We are thankful to have had this money in our emergency savings account.


Mrs. Wells was diagnosed with Endometriosis with complications. 

On Sept. 5th she is going to have a complete Hysterectomy.  We face a total bill of $23,950.00.  If we can pay this by Sept. 5th we will get 40% discount bringing the cost to $14,804.00; a savings of $9,145.00.  Right now, if left with no other recourse, I am planning on seeing how to take out a small loan. However, I believe the Lord can send us the money so we do not have to borrow.  I also know that the Lord uses people.  So, if you would like to help meet this need.  You can send a love gift for this need to the address below.
